Grant Norgaard grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with degrees in Elementary Education and Military Science. Mr. Norgaard also received a Masters Degree at Wayne State College in Elementary Administration, and has a specialist degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in School Administration - Superintendency.

Mr. Norgaard taught for five years and coached for eight years at Battle Creek. He was the Elementary and Jr. High Principal for two years in Dundy County and was an Elementary Principal in Columbus for three years. He is currently in his third year as the Superintendent / Elementary Principal at Leigh Elementary. Mr. Norgaard is married to Michele and has two children, daughter Victoria age seven, and son Hayden age two.
