| Mrs. Swanson grew up in Omaha. She graduated
from Omaha North High School in 1966. After high school, Mrs. Swanson continued her
education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1970 getting a Bachler of Science
Degree in Education. She also did graduate work at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and
University of Nebraska-Kearney. She started teaching at Centennial Public Schools for one
year and then went to Bunker Hill for two years, and has continued at Leigh High School
for the last 25 years. Mrs. Swanson is married to Ken
Swanson and they have three children: Jason, Kenny, and Andy. She also has five
grandchildren: Kaden, Addison, Samantha, Zack, and Payton. Other members of her family
include her cat, Misty. She was also the first woman to serve on the Leigh Village Board. |
