Grade 5

We would like to welcome Rebecca Purdie and Jordan Parks! We are learning different subjects.
In Language, we are learning about adjectives. In Math, we are learning about time difference. In Social Studies, we are learning about the thirteen colonies and England. In Reading, we are reading a story about a girl named Rachel who has diabetes. The story is called "How it Feels to Fight For Your Life". In Science, are learning about cells and how different cells reproduce. In music, we just finished learning about Beethoven. In computer, we just finished colonial reports, now we are typing reports about our favorite authors.

We just finished D.A.R.E. in January. We are going to live like pioneers for a day at the Stuhr museum. It is a field trip, and it is on March 3rd, 2008. Before we finished D.A.R.E., there was a geography bee. The kids in our class who got chosen were Jarrett Mohrmann and Jalesa Hassebrook. In early February, there was a Spelling Bee in our class. The finalists were Logan Korus (me), and Ashley Gilsdorf. The Spelling Bee was on Saturday February 23, 2008.
