The rats have arrived! The sixth grade

class has adopted two rats, Pinky and Brain. 

They are feeding them different diets to see

how they develop and grow.  Brain is being

fed foods from all of the food groups. Pinky

is only getting food from four of the food

groups and is not getting any dairy products. 

On October 1, Brain weighed in at 128

grams, but Pinky only weighed 111 grams. 

Their tail length measured 12.5 centimeters

for both rats.  The rats will be measured

and weighed every Tuesday.  We will keep

you posted!
