2003-2004
The September Parent - Teacher Organization meeting of the
2003-2004
school year was held on September 2, 2003.

- Vice President: Guadalupe Nieto
- Secretary/Treasurer: Sandy Griffiths
Projects planned for this year include a Book Fair, various contests,
Winter Carnival, and the annual Day of the Children Celebration.
OCTOBER:
The Book Fair was
scheduled during the week of October 27 through October 30, 2003.
Sunrise Elementary School received over $300.00 in books for the
Library. The P.T.O. would like to thank everyone who came to the
book fair and bought books and helped out in any way. We appreciate
your support.
NOVEMBER:
PTO FUNDRAISER: A big
"Thank You" to all of the students and their parents who helped out
with the fundraiser and an extra-big "Thank You" to Mrs. Griffiths
and Mrs. Nieto for all the planning, organizing, and extra time put
in to make this fundraiser a success. It was a HUGE success. The
PTO made a profit of over $2,000.00. The 2nd grade class had the
biggest sales of over $800.00. WAY TO GO Mrs. Young and the 2nd
Graders!!
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!
JANUARY:
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Vice President
Guadalupe Nieto. There were 10 parents, 2 teachers, and
Mr. Mlinar present. Last months minutes were read and approved.
Discussion was held concerning the Winter Carnival to be held on
February 25, 2004. Games, food, and entertainment have been planned.
The
student council has planned treats, games, and other activities for
that afternoon.
An end-of-the-year Food fiesta was also discussed.
Principal's Report: The new modular should be in place and ready for
use by the end of next week. The meeting for Title I PAC will be
scheduled soon. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
