Program Supervision

Welcome to the Special Education Department

 

The Special Education Department offers leadership and services to develop collaboration with our school districts. This collaboration will lead to successful implementation of effective programming. We provide direct or consultative services in the following areas: Program Supervision, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Early Childhood, Vision, Orientation and Mobility, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Paraprofessionals, Cen7ter, Transition, Early Development Network, Autism, and Assistive Technology.

 

Our department is committed to improving learning for children with disabilities. My Staff is dedicated to providing exceptional programming. I am proud and honored to be a part of this great team.

Darus Mettler 

Special education Director

Darus's primary focus is to serve and lead in the development of a vision for the special education program and comprehensive long-range plan. Ensure our mission is adequately reflected in the special education program and operations. Management of day-to-day operations of the special education department and programs. Provide assistance to district in the state and federal rules/regulations for special education. Guide districts through the financial responsibilities in special education and partner with NE Department of Education


Angie Arndt

Administrative Assistant/Office Manager

Angie's primary focus is to serve and support ESU7 staff and school districts, scheduling and maintaining event calendar for SPED and CPS staff, supervision of custodial staff, and point of contact for Special Education Department

 

Megan Kassing

Bookkeeper

mkassing@esu7.org

Megan's primary focus is to support SPED staff by focusing on SPED HR, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable and District Bookkeepers with Financial Services.
