Carl Perkins

ESU7 manages the Carl Perkins Grant consortium for 18 area school districts. The Carl Perkins Grant provides federal funds to support innovative practices, equipment, instructional materials, and professional development for career and technical education programs, including Agriculture, Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Industrial Technology, and Counseling. The grant also supports statewide efforts, including Partnerships for innovation and the Central Nebraska Career Academy Project.

An eleven member advisory board representing multiple regions and content areas oversees the grant processes and budget.

Otis is in charge of completing the federal application process, communicating with schools, setting up professional development opportunities, and coordinating grant processes.

Carolyn's primary focus is ordering materials and equipment, paying for professional development expenses for teachers, and maintaining the integrity of the budget.
