+Show Choir+
Aquinas has been impressing people with their talent in the show Choir since 1969. Many students have dedicated their time to the success of the group throughout the years, along with many teachers to instruct the students. Currently, the choir and show choir teacher is Mrs. Mimick.
The choir and show choir rehearse during the school day twice a week, so that they will be ready to perform at their concerts and at different places in the community that invite them to come, which is usually twelve to fifteen times a year.
Mrs. Mimick began teaching high school music here at Aquinas six years ago. Before that she had been teaching at other schools here in Nebraska and in South Dakota. Mrs. Mimick says that the best thing about teaching choir and show choir is that the students have been blessed with great talent and they are fun to work with.
Mrs. Mimick expects all of the students to use and develop their God given abilities and to contribute to the group in a positive manner. She believes that they have great strengths, which are their great talents as a group and as individuals. The choir and show choir have members who have been in the group for three to four years. Their experience and contributions to the group are invaluable, and they will pass on a tradition to the younger members.
