Target Area: Reading
Student Performance Goal: All students will improve their reading comprehension in all curricular areas.

Pre-Kindergarten
Kindergarten and First Grades
2nd-6th Grades: Vocabulary
2nd-6th Grades: Fluency
2nd-6th Grades: Comprehension Skills
7th-12th Grades: Text Comprehension in all curricular areas
7th-12th Grades: Vocabulary Skills in all curricular areas
7th and 8th Grades: Reading classes: improving specific reading skills
9th and 10th Grades: Reading classes to meet District Reading Standards

 

Target Area Goals on maintenance:

 

Written Communication Target Area Goal: Students will increase the quantity and improve the quality of their writing.

 

Intervention #1: Students will write an average of three times weekly in every subject area at the MS/HS level. Students will write daily in the Elementary.

 

Intervention #2: The students will improve the quality of self- and peer-assessment

 

Math Target Area Goal: Students will improve math problem-solving abilities in all curricular areas.

 

Intervention #1: Students will improve computation skills
Intervention #2: Students will collect, organize, and represent data in a variety of ways.
Intervention #3: Students will apply math concepts in everyday situations
