Mr. Knaak graduated from Plainview High School, then went on to Peru State College and earned his Bachelor of Science in Education. This is Mr. Knaak's first year of teaching at Leigh High School. Mr. Knaak is in his 21st year of teaching and had taught the last 8 years at Lewiston High School.

Mr. Knaak enjoys golfing and has a dog named Max.
