Mrs. Swanson grew up in Omaha. She graduated
from Omaha North High School in 1966. After high school Mrs. Swanson continued her
education at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in 1970 getting a Bachler of Science
degree in Education. She also did graduate work at University of Nebraska- Omaha, and
University of Nebraska- Kearney. She started teaching at Centennial Public Schools for one
year and then went to Bunker Hill for two years, and now at Leigh High School.
Mrs. Swanson is married to Ken
Swansonand they have three children, Jason, Kenny, and Andy. She also has six
grandchildren. Other members of her family
include her cat, Misty.
