Congratulations to the following who placed at the District track meet yesterday.

Dylan Went- 2nd long jump and Class D State Qualifier

Jessica Bayer- 3rd high jump

Angela Bruhn- 4th Shot put

All track members must check in their track uniforms and track warm ups tomorrow (Friday) after school.

 

The Reading Challenge class pizza parties will be on Friday, May 9th at 11:15 for the 7th Grade, 8th Grade and Juniors.

 

Legion BB Practice will be on Sunday, May 11 at 4:00 p.m.

 

We will have a short basketball meeting on Weds., May 14th in my room to finalize all our summer basketball plans and to hand out camp sheets for players to sign by parents and return to me to attend team camps. So you may prepare ahead of time, the JV camp at WSC on June 7 will be $50 per player and the V camp at WSC on June 13-14 will be $80 per player. I will reimburse each of you some depending on the success of our camps we are having here (Junior Panther/NE Nebraska). Let me know if you have any questions.

 

Just a reminder to all those students who would like to come to the Junior Panther (those currently in grades K-2) and to the Northeast Nebraska (those currently in grades in grades 3-8) Basketball Camps this summer. Forms for the Junior Panther Camp need to be turned in by May 19 and forms for the Northeast Nebraska Camp need to be turned in by May 30. You may turn these forms into the elementary or high school office or send them by mail. Thank you for all those who have turned in their forms already. We are looking forward to having some great camps!!!

 

Seniors or Senior parents, yearbook would be willing to sell pictures of individuals or the class. 4X6 for $1, 5X7 for $2.00.  Please either leave a message at the school or e-mail Mrs. Held at mheld@esu7.org.

 

Spanish club members, remember to bring your six-pack of 16oz. pop by next Thursday.

 

Faith Regional Athletic Testing will be on Wednesday, May 14th at 4:00 at the High School.

 

Attention Athletes:

Humphrey Medical Clinic will be giving Athletic Physicals on Monday, May 12th – girls physicals are at 5:45 and boys physicals are at 6:30, cost is $30.00.Alegent Health in Clarkson will be giving Athletic Physicals on June 10th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. cost is $20.00. Pick up your Physical forms in the office to take with you to the clinics.

 

Club 91 Summer Youth Golf League is beginning sign up for youth ages 8 through 15. Pick up information letters in the office.

 

The Entrepreneurship class is selling water bottles and koozies for their class projects. They each have 150 to sell so there is plenty in stock. If you would like to see what they look like, there will be flyers around school and an example of each product in the office. Water bottles cost $3.00 each and Koozies cost $2.50 each. Both have the Leigh Panther insignia on them. If interested, contact one of the Entrepreneurship students (LaCosta, Anna, Crystal - Water Bottle; Dakota, Devin, Jakeob, Joenah - Koozies), Mr. Leonard, or the office. Thanks for your support.

 

These students need to pay for and then pick up Sweetheart pictures and Dance/Cheer pictures: Casey. The list of how much you owe is outside of Mrs. Held’s room.

 

Attention H.S. Volleyball Players:  And any gals interested in going out for BB next year...  We will be having another meeting on Thursday, May 8th @ 5:15 in Mr. Roth's room.  Please make sure to let me know if you cannot make it.  Thanks, --Mr. Roth

The following students will recieve Three for Free Scholarships this summer:

Jody Wendt, Courtney Wendt, Jamie Olmer, Chelsey Vomacka, Justin McCullough, Holly Olmer, Leslie Schaad,

Boone Mc Afee, Angela Bruhn, and Tara Settje. Two students are taking their free class on campus in Columbus and all of the others are in the Leigh Summer Learning Center Program. Tuition is free, students still pay a small student fee and must purchase their textbook. The college summer session begins May 19th.

 

DETASSLERS:  Be sure to get your W-4 sheets, along with your other paperwork filled out and turned in to Mr. Roth by Tuesday, May 6th!  If you have questions come see me, and if anyone else who missed the meeting needs the forms, come see me as well...
