Most of you may already know next year Nebraska High School Volleyball will be rally scoring. The NSAA experimented with several different formats using rally scoring. After the experiments the Association surveyed all Nebraska high schools participating in volleyball to find out which format they felt worked best. After compiling survey data the NSAA decided on the following format for Nebraska High School Volleyball in 2004.

Varsity Dual Competition
Best 3/5 games
25 points, no cap, win by two
let serve
2 time outs per game

Varsity Triangulars and Tournaments
2/3 games
25 points, no cap, win by two
let serve
two time-outs per game

The Cornhusker Conference adopted the following format for C and JV games:

1. Freshman and JV games will use rally scoring (2 out of 3). First two sets will be played to 25 points with a cap of 27. A third set if necessary will be played to 15 with a cap of 17.
