Students in Kindergarten and first grade will be assessed at the end of first grade over the following objectives.
 

Kindergarten


1.1.1 Students will read and write most of the words they speak and use.

       Read his or her first and last name.

       Read 8 basic color words and 42 high frequency from the American Heritage List
       Identify consonant and short vowel sounds
       Identify consonant sounds in the initial position
