Grade 3

Third Grade Happenings The girls and the boys each made their own project for "simple machines". The girls built a hotel with a water slide and a pool.                 The boys made a track for racing monster trucks. Each project had to include all six of the simple machines. They each had to name and explain the machines in their project. They had fun creating and painting their projects. In math we are learning the multiplication facts and making them a part of our memory. We are also learning division. We spend LOTS of minutes reading. It is our goal to have the entire class earn their gold medals and also benchmark (read 110-120 words per minute) in reading.
