There are several NEW FACES at Sunrise Elementary this year. Tracy Briggs is our new Music Teacher, Tom Lange is our new P.E. Teacher, Sandy Harrison is our new Health Teacher, Traci Weverka is our new Resource Para, and Gloria Juarez is our new Migrant Para. Welcome to Sunrise!

IMPORTANT DATES FOR JANUARY

• SCHOOL WILL RESUME on Monday, January 5, 2004, at 8:10 A.M.
  
  
• The next PARENT - TEACHER ORGANIZATION MEETING will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 7:00 P.M. Baby-sitting will be provided.
  

• Report Cards will be given out on Friday, January 9, 2004.

• The Lakeview Community Schools SCHOOL BOARD MEETING will be Monday, January 12, 2004, at 8:00 P.M. at Lakeview High School.
  
  
• There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 19, 2004.  School will be closed for Elementary Teacher In-service.

PARENT/TEACHER ORGANIZATION - Sunrise Elementary School would like to invite all parents, grandparents, and friends of Sunrise students to come to our Parent/Teacher Organization meetings. Meetings are held the first Monday of September, November, January, March, and May at Sunrise Elementary. Baby-sitting is provided.

EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS Please keep the classroom teacher updated with all changes of emergency telephone numbers. It is important for the school to have emergency phone numbers should your son or daughter get ill at school.

PARENT AND GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEERS are needed to help students during the school day with math and/or reading.

STORM EMERGENCIES: School will be held and the regular school day followed regardless of weather conditions unless announced otherwise on Radio Stations KTTT AM 1510, KKOT FM 93.5, or KLIR FM 101. Announcements will be made by 7:00 A.M.
