Wachiska Audubon Society The Wachiska Audubon Society was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1973. Wachiska is one of more than 500 local chapters of the National Audubon Society. With more than 600,000 members nationwide, the NAS works to preserve and protect the diversity of all wildlife and their habitat. Within a 17-county membership area in Southeast Nebraska, more than 1,000 members of Wachiska work as active partners with NAS in their efforts, and over the years the chapter has achieved impressive results. The Schuyler FFA Chapter The primary aim of the FFA is the development of agricultural leadership, cooperation, and citizenship. The specific purpose for which this organization was formed is as follows: To develop competent and assertive agricultural leadership. To develop an awareness of the global importance of agriculture and it's contribution to our well-being. To strengthen the confidence of agricultural students in themselves and their work. To promote the intelligent choice and establishment of an agricultural career. To stimulate development and encourage achievement in individual agricultural experience programs. To improve the economic, environmental, recreational, and human resource of the community.To develop competencies in communications, human relations, and social abilities.To develop character, train for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.
