The NorthEast Region ASD Network is available to provide Resources and Training to local School Districts the ESU 7, 8, and 1 service areas. The service is provided free of charge.
Early Childhood/Intervention Services encompass a variety of programs available for children 0 through 5 years of age. The ESU7 Staff serves families in Butler, Colfax, Merrick, Nance, Platte and Polk counties at no cost to families. This program is funded publicly through your local school district.
ESU 7 Services provide - evaluation, intervention, and program planning for children who are experiencing learning difficulties and/or development delays, based on verification requirements.
Psychologist services provides comprehensive services to students, schools, and families in our service area. We strive to help students be successful in all aspects of development, to include academic achievement, social skills acquisition, behavioral functioning, and positive social emotional development.
We make referrals to and help coordinate community support services as well as help students transition to and from school and community learning environments, such as alternative educational settings, residential treatment or juvenile justice programs.
Focus is working with teachers, other district staff and families to assist and provide guidance, training, resources, and strategies for working with students by utilizing programming and materials to improve learning through meeting each individual student's needs.
ESU 7 Services provides - IEP services: Development, Writing & Implementing Measurable Goals, Facilitation of Meetings, In-Service Training, Classroom Environment Design, Discrete Trial Programming and Implementation, Data Collection, Behavior Strategies, Transition Planning, Verbal Behavior Training, Life Skills Activities, Model Lessons, Differentiation Of Instruction
Speech and Language Services address the evaluation, consultation, and intervention for children who may have speech and language difficulties. They address deficiencies in both oral and written language to help their students succeed in the regular education curriculum.
ESU 7 Speech and Language Services provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for students. SLPs provide services in many areas, including receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, literacy, and social communication.
Vision services are available for students experiencing vision problems. Certified vision personnel provide evaluation, consultation, and intervention for these children.
ESU 7 Vision Services provide - resources, services, and support in preparing children/youth who have a visual impairment for success in life through collaboration with schools, families, and community agencies.
