Educational Service Unit 7 is seeking applicants to fill the opening of Grant Writer for the 2024-2025 school year. This full time position will coordinate and oversee the grant applications by researching, identifying potential new funding sources, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities for ESU 7 and the Districts they serve. This position will be responsible for writing proposals and other supporting documents at the federal and state level, and with private funding agencies. The Grant Writer will collaborate on grant applications with various Districts programs.

ESU 7 has an ongoing need for Special Education/Behavior Teacher Substitutes. This will be an on-call and as needed position. This position is typically for an 8-hour workday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mon - Fri, and it pays $87.50 per half day or $175 per 8 hour day.

Applicants will be working with students with disabilities between ages 5-21.

Our two programs:

The Learning Academy - a level 3 behavior program for students with disabilities aged 5 - 21

The Cen7ter - a level 3 life skills program for students with disabilities aged 14 - 21

Job requirements: High school diploma, teaching certificate (or local substitute certification) effective communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced work environment. 

ESU 7 has an ongoing need for a Substitute Paraprofessional. This will be an on-call and as needed position. This position is typically for a 6-hour workday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and it pays $15 per hour. Applicants will be working with students with disabilities between ages 5-21. Job requirements: High school diploma, effective communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced work environment.

ESU 7 has an opening for a paraprofessional in our Cen7ter. ESU 7 Cen7ter is a level III vocational and life skills program supporting students in special education based on their individual needs. The Cen7ter serves students aged 14 - 21 while supporting them in gaining skills in Domestic, Recreation and Leisure, Vocational, Community, Social Skills and Functional Academics. This is a 30 hr/week position with benefits.

ESU 7 has an opening for a paraprofessional in our Learning Academy.  The ESU 7 Learning Academy is a level III placement school that focuses on student’s individual needs based on academic, behavioral, and mental health. Our program supports students with social-emotional structures and mental health therapies in order for students to learn skills to become successful with the individual goals that have been set for them by their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Team. Districts choose to enroll students at the Learning Academy to support the student's needs, with the anticipation of students coming back to the general education setting. This is a 30 hr/week position with benefits.
