Resource/Behavior Teacher (Learning Academy)

Applicants will be working with students with disabilities and potential behaviors/mental health.
Learning Academy is a level 3 behavior program for students with disabilities ages 5 - 21
Ability to work with a variety of districts, departments, teachers, parents and children. Demonstrate ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate successful learning environments.
Substitute Resource Teacher (Bridges Program)
DETAILS + APPLICATIONEducational Service Unit 7 has an immediate opening for a Substitute Teacher for the remainder of the year. Applicants will be working with elementary students with autism and complex learning.
This is a specialized program that has a high adult to student ratio.
Duties include: Ability to work with a variety of districts, departments, teachers, parents and children. Demonstrate ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate successful learning environments.
Job requirements: High school diploma, teaching certificate (or local substitute certification) effective communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced work environment.

School Psychologist
DETAILS + APPLICATIONEducational Service Unit 7 is accepting applications for a full-time School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. Service area is within 45 miles of Columbus, NE. Duties include: evaluation of cognitive/academic functioning, collaboration/consultation on Student Assistance and Response to Intervention teams, classroom observations, and help in designing strategies/interventions for all students.
Chief Administrator
DETAILS + APPLICATIONEducational Service Unit 7 located in Columbus is filling a vacancy for the position of Chief Administrator. Columbus is located approximately 65 miles northeast of Grand Island, 45 miles south of Norfolk and 85 miles west of Omaha. ESU 7 provides services to 19 school districts in seven counties including Boone, Butler, Colfax, Merrick, Nance, Platte, and Polk. ESU 7 has a current Strategic Plan with identified priorities of Mentoring, Professional Development, Customized Services, and Data Stewardship.
The board at the ESU 7 is seeking a forward-thinking professional to provide strong leadership to the staff and board. This individual will possess knowledge of all levels of running an ESU including education policy, ESU budgets and facility improvements. Applicants should also have experience with the programs and services ESU’s provide to member schools to support all educators and students.
The position requires an Education Specialist with a Doctoral degree desired. An additional preference would be for the candidate to have five years of administrative experience in a school district or educational service unit.

This position is typically for a 6-hour workday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and it pays $20 per hour. Applicants will be working with students with disabilities ranging from cognitive to behavioral. Paraprofessional
