Educational Service Unit 7 is accepting applications for a full-time Custodian/Maintenance
Technician. The Custodian/Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the building and
grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained. Duties include monitoring building security,
performing routine inspections, and completing basic repairs on systems such as lighting,
plumbing, and HVAC. The position provides daily custodial services such as cleaning restrooms,
floors, windows, and furniture; emptying trash; and following proper procedures for chemical
and equipment use. Responsibilities also include assisting with preventative maintenance,
coordinating with contractors, and maintaining exterior areas through sidewalk snow removal,
mowing, trimming, and general grounds upkeep. The Custodian is expected to maintain a
professional and positive rapport with staff, students, and visitors, uphold safety and ethical
standards, and perform other duties as assigned.
